🌷What I Actually Do During ‘Study Breaks’ (Spoiler: It’s Not Rest) ☕

Heyo again, Study Beans! Its me, Minxie ✿, back with a new post -

I do many things during study breaks, but none, and I mean NONE of them include resting or any form of resting (I guess). Let's start with the list ✨:-

1. Take a walk 'round my house: I usually follow the 50/10 pomo method, so when it comes to my 10 min breaks, I usually js take a small walk around my house to stretch those legs a bit. It's a smol, SMOL thing, but it clears up mental fog, relaxes and readies you for your next study sesh.

2. Mini Review Ritual: You can skim through your notes or re-read the summary of the chapter you just read. This reinforces memory without pressurizing your hard-workin' brain.

3. Lo-fi Reset: Play a calming playlist while you tidy your desk or organize your pens. It refreshes your space and your mood. I usually play Alec Benjamin songs, or js Lofi radios. It relaxes me, and it would 101% relax you too.

4. Mind Mapping or Doodling: Create a Mind Map or an aesthetic doodle related to what you were studying (that one's optional). It helps with retention and/or creativity.

5Intentional Snacking: I usually grab a small snack or drink - something that feels comforting but doesn’t derail your energy. Think: warm tea, fruit, or a biscuit.

6. Watch a Study Short (and pretend I’m in one): Sometimes I open YouTube and watch creators like @studywithemmane for a quick dose of aesthetic motivation. Her 60-second study shorts make me romanticize my own chaos—suddenly, my coffee mug and open notebook feel like props in a cinematic productivity montage! It’s not procrastination… it’s visual alignment. Those vids really motivate me and encourage me...even though it's indirect.

I hope all these tips n' tricks hopefully give you ideas on how to stay cute, interested AND productive without being on your phone. Till next time ~✨
